2024 Ohio House Bill 445

What is Ohio House Bill (HB) 445 and what does it do?

House Bill 445 changes a single word in the current Ohio law, from “may” to “shall”. With this change, school boards will be required to adopt a policy authorizing students to attend a released time course in religious instruction conducted by a private entity off school district property during regular school hours.
